First Impressions
Walking into The Luxury Collection Hotel Manhattan Midtown, you immediately understand why this five-star property commands such respect in New York. The lobby strikes that perfect balance between grand and welcoming — it’s impressive without making you feel like you need to whisper. I mean, this is Midtown Manhattan we’re talking about, so you expect a certain level of sophistication, and honestly, they deliver it without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with luxury hotels.
The Heart of Everything
The location on West 54th Street is actually brilliant — you’re literally steps from Times Square and Broadway theaters, but tucked just far enough away that you won’t hear the street performers at 2 AM. What I love is how couples seem to gravitate here (they rate the location 9.3, which makes total sense), probably because you can walk to Lincoln Center for a show, then stroll through Central Park the next morning. The subway access is right there too, so getting anywhere in the city is straightforward.
The Room Experience
You know what really impressed me? The beds are genuinely as comfortable as everyone says they are. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that promise great sleep, but this one actually delivers — the mattresses have that perfect firmness that doesn’t leave you tossing around all night. Each room feels spacious by Manhattan standards, and the windows offer decent city views (though honestly, in Midtown, you’re mostly looking at other buildings, which is part of the charm). The bathrooms are well-appointed without being over-the-top, and there’s enough storage space that you won’t be living out of your suitcase.
Dining and Amenities
The American breakfast is solid — not groundbreaking, but it covers all the bases with quality ingredients and proper coffee. What’s really convenient is the private parking situation; I mean, finding hotel parking in this part of Manhattan is like striking gold, so that’s a genuine advantage if you’re driving in. The restaurant serves reliable food, though honestly, with the incredible dining scene right outside your door, you’ll probably want to explore the neighborhood options.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a place that draws repeat visitors — and this hotel definitely has that loyal following. I think it comes down to consistency; they’ve figured out how to provide genuine luxury without the pretense, plus that location score of 9.3 isn’t just a number on paper. You can feel it when you’re walking back from dinner in Hell’s Kitchen or catching a morning coffee before heading to Central Park. It’s one of those places where the details work together — comfortable beds, smart location, professional service — to create an experience that just makes sense for a New York stay.

Good
Great location and great staff.
What could be improved: Lifts weren’t working so very frustrating.
Great place…just don’t leave anything behind
The rooms are very spacious. I loved the shower. location is very central. The restaurant at the hotel had very decent food options and tasted great.
What could be improved: I left my EarPods at the hotel and getting them to check/call back/get a response was a nightmare !!! I must have called a hundred times, I kept insisting my EarPods were at the hotel, someone from security told me he must get an actual picture of the EarPods before he can help me look for it - these are EarPods with my name on it specifically. After giving up and buying new EarPods for $300 my husband decided to call one last time and spoke to someone who was better equipped who checked and found the EarPods ! All this took ONE MONTH + for something so simple. Would have given it a 10 otherwise but this issue dampened my experience at the hotel. I’d stay here again but the staff (security/lost and found) need to do better.
Great hotel! Highly recommend.
Very well situated. Very clean. Staff were very pleasant and great to deal with.
Wonderful
The size of the room was larger than normal ones in this range. Staff was very good and helpful.
What could be improved: ..
Wonderful
Spacious, comfortable and great gym!
This is our third stay here, we will be back!!!
The location is amaxinby
What could be improved: Could do with a touch up
Wonderful rooms in a nice location.
Room was large and well appointed. Comfortable space. Location was good. Gym was very nice except for spin bikes, which were broken.
What could be improved: Check-in staff could have been more knowledgeable. As noted above, spin bikes were in disrepair in the gym. The Peleton bikes in most hotel gyms are broken (they are not durable for commercial use) so don't feel too bad. We went to the restaurant for some drinks and the service was very poor.
Excellent all suite hotel in the heart of midtown
Rooms are a great size for NYC -with a lounge area and separate bedroom. Bathrooms are excellent - fantastic showers and water pressure.
What could be improved: Check-in can be a little slow
Lovely hotel stay, with clean spacious rooms. Hotel was within walking distance to everything
Rooms were spacious and very clean. Loved how close the hotel was to time square.
What could be improved: The restaurant downstairs, was over priced for what it was.
Wonderful
Beautiful lobby and suite. Decorations are beautiful as well. Very comfortable!!
There was plenty of space for 3 people.
Bath products were fantastic! Towels were soft.
Shower was really nice!
Restaurant was fabulous! Our cocktails were great!
What could be improved: Having someone knock on our door at 12:30 a.m. only to find out they were at the wrong room.
