Soho Grand Hotel
You know what struck me first about Soho Grand Hotel?
You know what struck me first about Soho Grand Hotel? It’s how they managed to make this place feel both sleek and welcoming without trying too hard. I mean, you walk into the lobby and there’s this perfect balance of industrial chic meets downtown sophistication that actually works – which honestly surprised me, because so many places in New York get that combo completely wrong.
The location is pretty much unbeatable if you want to be in the thick of SoHo without feeling like you’re trapped in tourist central. Being right on West Broadway puts you within easy walking distance of all those cobblestone streets with the cast-iron buildings (you know, the ones everyone posts on Instagram), but you’re also close enough to hop over to Tribeca for dinner or catch the subway without much hassle. I loved that I could grab coffee at Birch Coffee just down the street in the morning, then wander over to Prince Street for shopping later. The four-star rating feels about right – it’s definitely upscale without being stuffy or intimidating.
What really won me over, though, were the little details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The rooms have these huge windows that flood everything with natural light (crucial when you’re dealing with NYC apartment-sized spaces), and the beds are legitimately comfortable – not just hotel-marketing comfortable. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious too, which is rare for this part of the city. I’ll be honest, the street can get a bit noisy on weekend nights since you’re in the heart of everything, but that’s kind of the trade-off for being so centrally located. If you’re a light sleeper, maybe request a room on a higher floor. The staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations instead of just pointing you toward the obvious tourist spots – they steered me toward this amazing little wine bar on Spring Street that I never would’ve found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, and they store luggage without any drama if you arrive early. It’s one of those places that gets the balance right between feeling like a proper New York hotel experience and actually being comfortable enough that you want to come back to your room at the end of a long day of walking around the city.

Loved it and we will be back.
Location and view from room. The service was top notch.
What could be improved: The dessert for room service was not worth the money. Not sure they understand what a sundae is.
Fabulous
Loved everything about the hotel - staff, excellent location for being in lower Manhattan, room was fantastic, good size bathroom really amazing shower. only slight down side was the view but I was aware of this before I booked - all in all a great stay. excellent staff especially that doorman who are super helpful and friendly
What could be improved: View but was aware before booking.
Very Good
the style of the place. The outside space.
What could be improved: getting locked out of the room when when we should have had access. no big drama but a bit of a hassle.
Great location in SoHo
Great location, amazing design, comfortable and nice
What could be improved: Sometimes can be noisy due to parties on the first floor but top floors help
Very Good

What could be improved: Nothing

Very cool hotel lovely staff and nice bar area
What could be improved: Nothing really but it was a bit too expensive for me
Amazing hotel, would definitely stay again.
Lovely hotel, beds so comfortable. Great location. Fabulous door man.
What could be improved: Staff not hugely friendly at reception or bar area.
Beautiful and comfortable hotel in a perfect location.
The nightclub downstairs is loud on Saturday night. We arrived late on Saturday night and the only room left was the closest one to the club. The reception made up for it the next day with a change of room with an upgrade. The rest of our stay was excellent.
CONVENIENT TO ALL WE DID, CLEAN AS CAN BE, WHEN YOU REQUEST SOMETHING THEY ATTEND TO IT IMMEDIATELY!
GOOD VIBE, YOUNG, WELL APPOINTED.
What could be improved: VERY HORRIBLE PILLOW LIKE SLEEPING ON A FULL TIRE FILLED WITH AIR. THE BED IS REALLY HARD, TOILET OVERFLOWED A COUPLE TIMES. THE FINALLY BROUGHT ME A NEW PILLOW.
