First Impressions
Walking into MOXY NYC Times Square feels like stepping into someone’s really cool apartment — if that someone happened to live in the heart of Manhattan’s theater district. This four-star hotel on 7th Avenue doesn’t try to be stuffy or overly polished, and honestly, that’s exactly what works about it. The lobby buzzes with energy, and you can tell right away this place gets the whole “work hard, play hard” vibe that defines New York.
Location That Actually Matters
I mean, you’re literally in Times Square — but here’s the thing, you’re positioned just right so you get all the excitement without feeling like you’re trapped in a tourist snow globe. The subway is steps away, which means you can actually get around the city without spending half your budget on Ubers. Broadway theaters are within walking distance, and Central Park is close enough for a morning jog if that’s your thing. What I really appreciate is how couples seem to love this spot — there’s something about being able to walk to dinner in Little Italy or catch a late show without the hassle that makes it work for romantic trips.
The Room Experience
The room design is smart — they’ve figured out how to make small spaces feel functional rather than cramped. Everything has a purpose, from the pegboard walls where you can hang your stuff to the platform bed that actually gives you storage underneath. And you know what? The beds really are as comfortable as everyone says. After walking around Manhattan all day, sinking into those sheets feels like a small miracle. The bathrooms are compact but cleverly designed, and the rainfall shower is surprisingly good for a hotel in this price range.
Food and Social Spaces
The grab-and-go breakfast situation works perfectly if you’re the type who wants to get out and explore rather than sit around a formal dining room. They’ve got quality coffee and pastries that you can take with you — which, let’s be honest, is probably what you want when you’re trying to beat the crowds at the Met or get to a morning Broadway show. The lobby bar gets lively in the evenings, and it’s become one of those places where you might actually end up chatting with other travelers about where to find the best pizza slice at 2 AM.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel gets that not everyone wants the same old hotel experience — sometimes you want something with personality that doesn’t break the bank. The staff seems to genuinely enjoy working here, which shows in how they interact with guests. You’re paying for location and comfort without the pretense, and in a city where hotel rooms can feel like expensive closets, MOXY has figured out how to make the space work for you rather than against you. It’s the kind of place where you’ll sleep well, start your day efficiently, and spend most of your time out exploring the city — which is probably exactly what you came to New York to do anyway.
Early hotels booking in New York requires advance planning during peak seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s Broadway shows, world-class shopping, and American cultural attractions.

Good
Good location
What could be improved: Elevators are very confusing.
I paid for breakfast included but when we got there, we were told that they no longer offer breakfast.
Very Good
Very central, very clean.
What could be improved: Breakfast wasn’t great, very limited selection and if not down before 8am no fruit left
Awesome awesome awesome
Really enjoyed our stay. Great location, great hotel. The only thing I didn’t like was there was no fridge. But it won’t deter me from coming back next time I visit NYC. Enjoyed the candy treats in the lobby as well!!
What could be improved: Just the fridge in the room
Fabulous location and vibe.
Location was amazing and staff was super helpful and pleasant. Rooftop bar was very cool get the Moira Rose it was delicious.
What could be improved: A/C worked when it felt like it I think it needs an overhaul and a small quibble was the lighting which was horrible, very unflattering. But overall a lovely property.
Nice stay
Good location..just right distance from Times Square
What could be improved: Coffee carafes were empty early morning -big disappointment
Very nice stay

A week midotown
Position , bars , lobby . Nice atmosphere and lights .
What could be improved: Room a bit small
Perfect location, cool vibes
Perfect location if you’re aiming to be close to Broadway, Central Park, high street shops and generally around the Midtown area. Comfortable rooms, very clean hotel, cool vibe with music playing everywhere - capturing the area vibe. Nice details in the room to make the stay easier.
What could be improved: There’s no breakfast available but we had a $20 credit / day to buy pastries from the 2nd floor cafeteria. The pastries were pricey though, and the credit was enough to buy 1-2 pastries only. Not provided water bottles too, you’re charged $7.99 per bottle if you use the ones provided at the room. There’s no mini-fridge.
Great hotel
Amazing location, nice staff, very comfortable beds, cool design
What could be improved: The room had no storage space, and the sink was located outside the bathroom which felt a bit weird
Wonderful
Location very good, everything clean and organized.
What could be improved: Our AC worked for 2/3 hours only, then it would stop working. So we had to turn it off and on again to get 3 more hours.
