Hyatt Centric Times Square New York
You know what really struck me when I first walked into Hyatt Centric Times Square New York?
You know what really struck me when I first walked into Hyatt Centric Times Square New York? The fact that despite being smack in the middle of the chaos, it actually feels like a proper retreat. I mean, you’re literally on West 45th Street – you can practically touch the TKTS steps from here – but somehow they’ve managed to create this bubble where you can decompress after getting trampled by tourists all day.
The thing about staying in Times Square is that most people either love it or hate it, but this four-star spot sort of splits the difference perfectly. Look, I’ll be honest – if you’re expecting some zen sanctuary, you’re in the wrong neighborhood entirely. But what this place does well is give you that front-row seat to all the New York madness while keeping the rooms surprisingly quiet (pro tip: the higher floors facing the courtyard are gold). The rooms themselves have this sleek, modern vibe without trying too hard to be hip – clean lines, decent workspace if you need to get stuff done, and honestly, better water pressure than half the places I’ve stayed in Manhattan. The beds are legitimately comfortable, which matters more than you’d think when you’ve been walking around the city for twelve hours straight.
What I really appreciate is how they’ve thought about the little things that matter when you’re actually living here for a few days. The lobby doesn’t feel like a tourist trap waiting room – there’s this relaxed energy where you can actually sit with a coffee without feeling rushed. And speaking of coffee, their lobby café situation is solid for a quick grab before heading out to catch a show. The staff seems to get that people staying here are usually juggling Broadway schedules and dinner reservations, so they’re pretty efficient without being pushy. I’ve stayed here during both the holiday season (absolute insanity outside) and a random Tuesday in March, and honestly, the experience holds up either way. The location means you’re walking distance to literally everything – I’m talking three blocks to the theater district, spitting distance to Hell’s Kitchen restaurants, and yeah, you can stumble back from a late dinner in Midtown without dealing with subway delays. Is it going to be the most peaceful sleep of your life? Probably not – this is Times Square we’re talking about. But if you want to be in the thick of it without staying in some sketchy tourist trap, and you appreciate a place that knows what it’s doing, this is honestly one of the better calls you can make in this part of town.

Great place to stay for a fun NY adventure!
A very nice welcome at check in made for a smooth and fast process. Our room was spacious and comfortable which was nice for relaxing after a busy day. The location was wonderful for exploring, but also nice to be tucked down a block from Times Square. Upon check out, a reasonably priced car service was offered to take us to the airport which was comfy and quick!
We will be back

Great room to accommodate our first trip to NYC, with young baby
Great location near Times Square and rooms were surprisingly quiet giving location, may have heard the odd siren now and again but was very subtle. Friendly staff that were happy to help and accommodate any needs. Rooms were cleaned everyday to a high standard. Great size room, even with baby crib also in room. Baby crib provided was great quality. Great coffee shop on ground floor.
What could be improved: Nothing comes to mind
Exceptional
Great location. Clean. Modern.
Great location, great views, very helpful staff
Location great, the room view was unbelievably great! Staff very helpful
What could be improved: They need more public areas, it's very limited. A lower floor bar would be a great addition
