The location was great and had short walking distance and easy access to several of subway lines uptown Manhattan and direct to Brooklyn. Walking distance from Brooklyn Bridge, Staten Island Ferry and Wall Street area. A big plus for us was the coffee at Starbucks next door from the hotel!

This hotel is extremely unique. Location is quite impressive and safe. Probably best I can imagine in the city. Free coffee/water/tea/milk available whole stay. Beautiful room with special view. I would give 10 out of 10 and I would say "one of the best", but I had some awful situation with one staff member. It was shocking, that's why I gave 9 out of 10. I've written about it below.

I thought the location was outstanding, right beside the 9/11 Memorial site, close to the architecturally spectacular Oculus, which provides transportation options such as NJ Path as well as subway access. Even so, the hotel itself was very quiet and the room was more spacious than it appeared in photos. The common areas on the ground floor were inviting and well maintained (comfortable, modern furnishings as well as complimentary purified water and coffee/tea). Also in relation to location, within walking distance to Trinity Church, Bowling Green, Battery Park and other sights. Good options in the area for food and drink. The room met all expectations, comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of drawers, good shower, Nespresso machine. Elevator is key-card activated, a positive safety feature. On each floor there is a station with a purified water dispenser and plastic refillable bottles, especially nice in the August heat. We arrived about 40 minutes before the posted check-in time but were accommodated immediately.
