The four-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be the Plaza, but everything works well and the staff genuinely seems to care. I’ve stayed there twice now, and both times the front desk remembered little things from my previous visit, which honestly doesn’t happen much anymore. The rooms are larger than you’d expect for Manhattan – I could actually spread out my stuff without feeling cramped, and the beds are properly comfortable, not just hotel-acceptable.

Parking is available but pricey – though that’s true everywhere in this part of town, so no surprise there. The area gets pretty quiet at night, which is perfect if you’re trying to actually sleep, but it also means things shut down early if you’re looking for late-night action. The building itself has this understated elegance thing going on – nothing flashy, just well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. Their little fitness center is better equipped than I expected, and the business center saved me when I needed to print boarding passes at 6 AM. One small thing that bugged me – the Wi-Fi could be stronger in some rooms, especially if you’re trying to work from the bedroom area. But overall, it’s one of those places where you can tell they’re paying attention to the details that actually matter to travelers rather than just throwing money at flashy lobbies or unnecessary amenities.
