The Frederick Hotel Tribeca
I'll be honest – when I first walked into The Frederick Hotel Tribeca, I wasn't expecting much from another boutique hotel in lower Manhattan.
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into The Frederick Hotel Tribeca, I wasn’t expecting much from another boutique hotel in lower Manhattan. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The building itself has this gorgeous cast-iron facade that fits right into the neighborhood’s industrial-chic vibe, and you know what? The inside manages to feel both sophisticated and welcoming without trying too hard.
What really sets this five-star property apart is how it captures the essence of Tribeca without being gimmicky about it. The lobby has these beautiful exposed brick walls and custom lighting that creates this warm, almost residential feeling – like you’re staying at a very wealthy friend’s incredibly well-designed home. The rooms are spacious by New York standards (which, let’s face it, isn’t saying much most of the time), but here you actually have room to spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. I particularly loved the floor-to-ceiling windows in my room – they frame the neighborhood’s cobblestone streets and historic architecture perfectly, especially in the morning light.
The location is honestly fantastic if you want to experience New York like a local rather than a tourist. You’re right in the heart of one of Manhattan’s most desirable neighborhoods, surrounded by some of the city’s best restaurants and galleries, but it’s quieter than Midtown – you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open. West Broadway puts you within walking distance of SoHo’s shopping (though your wallet might not thank you), and you’re close enough to the Financial District that Wall Street feels like a pleasant stroll rather than a subway commitment. The staff here really knows their stuff too – they gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t the usual touristy spots, and their concierge actually helped me snag reservations at places I’d been trying to get into for months. Check-in was smooth, parking is valet-only but they handle it efficiently, and I appreciated that they didn’t try to upsell me on every little thing. If you’re looking for that perfect balance between luxury and authenticity in downtown Manhattan, this place delivers without the pretentiousness you sometimes get at hotels in this price range.
The luxury concierge service in New York offers personalized access to private rooftop experiences, fine dining reservations at Michelin-starred restaurants, and VIP cultural events in this iconic global metropolis.

Great stay
Staff and com
What could be improved: WiFi was a big problem in the room
Very Good
What could be improved: Great hotel, but I wish my room had more sunlight.
Wonderful
Location is quite , room clean, breakfast very basic
What could be improved: Room and bathroom are very small, sound isolation is poor, frozen deposit exceeded the conditions .
Would stay again.
Incredible convenient for the underground.
Great area.
Lovey breakfast with lots of options.
What could be improved: As you would expect a small room but incredibly clean and good decor
Would recommend
Great location, staff were lovely and helpful.
What could be improved: There was no refrigerator in the room although it was listed as part of the booking and also no tea/coffee in the room.
Quite loud surrounding noise on the Friday and Saturday night - woke me up a few times.
Cozy and warm. Perfect location.
Location is perfect. Times square is only 20 mins away with the subway, whose stop is right in front o the hotel. Also JFK super well connected with AirTrain + A line in only 1hour (less then 8$, which is super cheap if compared to a cab or an Uber).
The hotel itself is very nice and very well kept. Cleanliness was very good. Common spaces very cozy and warm. Room was big enought for one person, probably a bit tiny for two, but totally in line with the standard in NY. Breakfast was delicious (special mention for baked potatoes which were supreme) and the staff very kind. I surely recommend this place and will come back for sure in another trip to the Big Apple.
What could be improved: The hotel's cleanliness was very good, but I would still recommend paying more attention, as some details can always be overlooked. About breakfast, as said "delicious", but I would suggest to offer a wider choice. As an example - in my 4 nights staying - I never found bacon, which is very strange in the States.
Please note that these are just suggestions and they do not detract from the hotel's excellent rating for both overall experience, cleanliness and breakfast service.
Wonderful
Clean and great location!
What could be improved: Breakfast very disappointing! Very limited buffet.
Great location and friendly staff for a great price
Staff, room and bathroom were nicely decorated and very clean.
What could be improved: Noise level within the hallways and outside. I think either sound resistant windows are needed or some kind of noise machine for when you are sleeping. Also, additional locks on the doors would be nice. When I was sleeping I was awaken when someone would close their door and mine would rattle. I ended up folding a towel and placing it in the door handle so no one could come in.
Wonderful
Very cute and historic, they kept a lot of the inside architecture.
What could be improved: Shower only had a half glass so water tended to spray onto the floor. Not a big deal, but rooms are small just as a heads up if you're wanting a larger space.
A small Space Delivered a Big EXPERIENCE
The location, Cleanliness
What could be improved: Size of room. I didn't Dislike it; just shocked by it
