First Impressions

Walking into The Dominick Hotel feels like stepping into someone’s incredibly well-appointed private residence — if that someone happened to have impeccable taste and a serious budget. This five-star property sits right in the heart of SoHo, and honestly, the location alone is worth the splurge. I mean, you’re literally surrounded by some of the best shopping, galleries, and restaurants in New York, but the hotel itself feels like a quiet sanctuary once you’re inside.

The SoHo Advantage

What I love about staying here is how you’re positioned perfectly between downtown’s creative energy and the more polished luxury of Midtown. You can walk to Little Italy for dinner, hit the boutiques on Broadway, or just wander the cobblestone streets admiring the cast-iron architecture. The couples who stay here clearly get it — there’s something romantic about SoHo’s tree-lined streets and historic charm that you just don’t find in other parts of Manhattan. Plus, having parking available at the hotel is actually a game-changer if you’re driving into the city.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had these floor-to-ceiling windows that made the space feel enormous, even by New York standards. The beds here are genuinely exceptional — I’m talking about the kind of sleep quality that makes you want to ask housekeeping what brand of mattress they use. Everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just expensive for the sake of it. The marble bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into everything, and the rainfall showers are perfect after a long day of walking around the city.

Dining and Amenities

Breakfast here covers all the bases — they’ve got everything from classic American options to vegetarian and vegan choices, plus gluten-free selections that don’t feel like an afterthought. The restaurant downstairs has this sophisticated but relaxed vibe that works whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a proper dinner. What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to remember guests’ preferences — you know, the kind of attention to detail that explains why so many people become repeat visitors.

Why Guests Love It

There’s something about this place that just works. Maybe it’s the way they’ve managed to create a luxury experience without feeling stuffy or pretentious. The location score speaks for itself — you really are in one of the best spots in the city, but it’s the little things that make the difference. The service feels genuine rather than scripted, the amenities actually enhance your stay instead of just looking impressive, and honestly, you end up feeling like you’ve discovered something special rather than just booked another high-end hotel. It’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people become loyal to certain properties.

To book a hotel in New York during major events like Fashion Week, travelers need early planning as this vibrant city draws visitors eager to experience its dynamic energy and world-famous skyline.

Great location, confortable beds, great views and really nice staff

Great location in Soho. Great views. Really nice service from staff. Great rooftop pool. Diptique toiletries.

What could be improved: Pool menu could be better. More food options. Room service unnecessarily expensive with additional charges.

The whole stay at The Dominick was exceptional, and they truly made our visit to New York City unforgettable. From the welcoming staff to the luxurious comfort of the rooms, everything was perfect. The attention to detail, the stunning views, and the overall atmosphere made it a standout experience.

We left already looking forward to our next stay, because there’s no doubt: when in NYC, we’ll be back at The Dominick!!!
