The Broome
The Broome caught me off guard, honestly – I walked past it twice before realizing this sleek, understated building was actually my hotel.
The Broome caught me off guard, honestly – I walked past it twice before realizing this sleek, understated building was actually my hotel. It sits right on Broome Street (hence the name, obviously), and there’s something refreshing about a four-star place that doesn’t scream for attention with flashy signage. The entrance is almost minimalist, which I guess fits perfectly with the whole SoHo aesthetic, but I mean, don’t expect the grand lobby theatrics you’d get at some Midtown monster.
What really won me over was how the place feels like it actually belongs in New York – not like some generic hotel chain that could be anywhere. The rooms have this industrial-chic thing going on with exposed brick and big windows, and you know what? The street noise isn’t nearly as bad as I expected, even though you’re literally in the heart of SoHo. I stayed on the fourth floor and could still hear the occasional delivery truck rumbling by at 6 AM, but honestly, that’s just part of the New York experience. The beds are seriously comfortable though – I’m talking sink-right-in comfortable, which matters when you’ve been walking around the city all day.
The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with Times Square chaos. You’re a two-minute walk from some of the best shopping (Prada, Supreme, all those places that make your credit card nervous), and the food scene around here is ridiculous. There’s this little coffee spot called Birch that’s right around the corner – locals line up there every morning, and now I understand why. Prince Street station is close enough that you can hop on the R or W without much hassle, though honestly, most of SoHo, Little Italy, and Nolita are totally walkable from here. I ended up walking to the Brooklyn Bridge one evening just because the streets were so interesting to explore. The hotel staff actually gave me some solid recommendations for places that weren’t obvious tourist traps, which I appreciated – they seem to know the neighborhood pretty well instead of just rattling off the same generic suggestions. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprises with fees, and they let me store my bags early since I arrived before 3 PM. It’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but there’s something genuine about it that feels right for this part of the city.
Best hotels in New York range from luxurious Manhattan penthouses with Central Park views to boutique hotels in trendy Brooklyn neighborhoods and classic midtown properties near Broadway theaters.

Very Good
Fabulous breakfast and great location.
Wonderful
Small, peaceful, tasteful, location in the heart of SoHo. Close to shopping and restaurants and subway.
What could be improved: King bed (instead of queen) + a bit more space would have been nice.
Wonderful
The location of this hotel is amazing and staff very willing to help with all aspects of the stay. We loved sitting in the courtyard for breakfast every morning. A quiet haven away from the busy city.
Highly recommend staying
