First Impressions
Walking into Royalton Park Avenue feels like stepping into one of those sleek Manhattan hotels you see in movies — you know, the kind where the lobby actually makes you stand a little straighter. This five-star property sits right on Park Avenue South in NoMad, and honestly, the location alone is worth talking about. I mean, you’re literally in one of New York’s most dynamic neighborhoods, where the energy of Midtown meets the creative spirit of the Flatiron District. The hotel’s sophisticated approach to hospitality sets the tone for everything that follows, making it clear from the moment you arrive that this is a destination designed for discerning travelers.
The NoMad Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in NoMad — you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from Times Square to actually breathe. The hotel’s location score of 9.1 isn’t just a number; couples especially seem to get it, rating the spot even higher for romantic getaways. You can walk to Madison Square Park in five minutes (perfect for morning coffee), and the subway connections are actually useful — not just tourist traps. The whole area has this sophisticated vibe that feels authentically New York without trying too hard. Being in this neighborhood means you’re surrounded by galleries, boutiques, and some of the city’s most innovative dining establishments, all within walking distance.
The Room Experience
The room situation here is where Royalton really delivers. Those beds everyone raves about? They’re not exaggerating — I actually had trouble getting up in the morning, which is saying something in a city that never sleeps. The design strikes this perfect balance between modern luxury and comfort, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the city beautifully. What surprised me was how quiet everything felt despite being on such a busy avenue; the soundproofing is clearly a priority here. Each space has been thoughtfully curated to provide both visual appeal and genuine relaxation.
Dining and Amenities
The American breakfast setup works well — it’s substantial without being overwhelming, which I appreciate when you’re planning to walk half of Manhattan. The hotel’s restaurant scene connects nicely with NoMad’s reputation as a foodie destination, though honestly, you’ll want to explore the neighborhood too. There’s parking available if you’re driving (though I can’t imagine why you’d want to deal with Manhattan traffic), and the staff genuinely seems to understand what travelers need without being overly formal about it. The concierge team excels at providing personalized recommendations for everything from theater tickets to hidden culinary gems.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is this combination of sophisticated luxury and genuine New York character. The 8.3 rating reflects what you’d expect — it’s polished and professional without feeling stuffy or pretentious. You’re paying for that prime location and five-star service, but you’re also getting something that feels distinctly Manhattan in the best possible way. Whether you’re here for business meetings in Midtown or exploring the city’s cultural offerings, this spot puts you exactly where you want to be, with the kind of comfort that makes those long New York days actually enjoyable. The hotel represents the best of what luxury hospitality can offer in one of the world’s most demanding cities.

Perfect stay in great location, loved the pool.
The roof top pool was lovely, great view of Empire State Building. Location is great for getting out around the city.
What could be improved: We were upgraded to king deluxe which was great. The room felt a little dated.
The hotel is nice but a little rough around the edges. I would have expected a bit better for the money.
Amazing room & location but missing 5 star touches.
Brilliant location & we stated in the Royalton Park Suite which was a good size. The rooftop pool was also cute.
What could be improved: There were 3 of us, so one of us was sleeping on the sofa bed, which we were expected to pull out & make ourselves which was disappointing, especially after a long flight. The hotel is 5 star but missed quite a few 5 star touches, for example complimentary water in the room. Also the toilet/changing room at the rooftop wasn’t as clean as it should have been.
Awesome
Pool and staff
What could be improved: Couldn’t get m an extension due to my flight cancellation.
Very Good
It was good , staff was cooperative
What could be improved: Location
Beautiful
Everything
What could be improved: Being locked out of our room because of a misunderstanding with card on file.
Nice
Great bedding, solid location, shower door instead of curtains(!), good little balcony,
Perfect hotel in the heart of New York
Very good location-just near the subway station, you can also reach the center by foot.
Lot of good restaurants nearby, supermarket, cafes.
The rooftop bar is good, the breakfast in restaurant (not included in price of the room) is also good and not so expensive.
The coffee machine in the room.
You can open windows and it is very good for Manhattan
What could be improved: The pool area is very small and not so clean. You should book sunbeds if you want to relax there.
The room is rather small, but for Manhattan it is ok.
Nice stay, good value if there are special rates
Location, staff
What could be improved: Ac not cold enough, towels were thin, toilet paper very rough,
Perfectly located hotel with spacious rooms and a pool!
Room was very spacious and clean with a balcony, staff was very kind and helpful and the pool is a bonus with view on the Empire state building!
What could be improved: The pool area gets very crowded with nice weather and is not too spacious, so that is the only downside, but everything else, just great.
Great place to stay with a great staff. Good for family or business
Great pool and penthouse amenities on top floor.
Great views on the amenities floor with nice complimentary coffee service
What could be improved: Gym was a bit small.
