Nolitan Hotel SoHo – New York
I'll be honest – when I first walked into the Nolitan Hotel SoHo - New York, I wasn't expecting much from the narrow Kenmare Street entrance.
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Nolitan Hotel SoHo – New York, I wasn’t expecting much from the narrow Kenmare Street entrance. But stepping inside completely changed my perspective on what a boutique hotel can be in this corner of Manhattan. This four-star property sits right at the crossroads of SoHo, NoLita, and Little Italy, which means you’re basically in the center of some of the best wandering territory in New York.
The lobby has this warm, almost residential feel that immediately signals you’re not staying at some corporate chain. The rooms are thoughtfully designed – I mean, they actually feel like spaces where someone put real consideration into how you’d actually live for a few days, not just sleep. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for this part of the city, and honestly, the rain showers are pretty fantastic after a long day of walking around. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, which is sort of miraculous considering you’re surrounded by some of the city’s most popular dining and shopping areas. The windows do their job well, and the building’s set back just enough from the street buzz.
You know what really sets this place apart though? The location is absolutely unbeatable if you want to feel like you’re living in the real New York rather than just visiting it. Prince Street Station is literally around the corner, Balthazar is a two-minute walk (good luck getting a table, but still), and you can hit Canal Street or spring for some serious shopping on Broadway without ever needing a cab. I found myself just wandering different directions each morning – west toward the Hudson, east into the Lower East Side, south to Stone Street. The front desk staff actually knows the neighborhood too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They steered me toward this little coffee spot on Mott Street that I never would’ve found otherwise. The whole experience just felt more authentic than those massive Midtown hotels where you feel like you’re staying in some generic luxury bubble. Sure, it’s not the cheapest option in the area, but for the combination of genuine neighborhood character and solid comfort, it’s worth the extra spend.

Wonderful
location and coolness
What could be improved: it was rather loud
Great location
Very convenient location, close to the subway and many restaurants and bars. Comfortable room with a nice view. Comfortable bed.
What could be improved: Nice bar, but not opened on all evenings. I would have liked to have a coffee/tea maker in the room.
Good value in fun location… modern and comfortable
Staff - fairly spacious room (for NYC) clean, quiet and modern
What could be improved: Dirty windows
Amazing time and stay here, the layout of the room we were in were unique but still great!
The Nolitan Hotel was located in a great area. Close to local delis, restaurants and bars, laundromats and various subways. The view of the city was also incredible as well as the service and kindness of the staff. Our only wish was that we booked the balcony room.
Wonderful
Ideal location. Right between SoHo and Chinatown. Convenient to our favorite shopping location in NYC.
Good
Decently sized rooms for NYC. Clean. Pretty good location. Very kind staff.
What could be improved: I feel for the location it is a bit overpriced. Resort fees are also annoying. No one wants to pay or go to a random offsite gym - why are we paying for it?
Nice room with Balcony and great location
Great location it’s clean and there is a chill vibe. Great area near Nolita. Soho, Chinatown
What could be improved: The floors look a bit dirty and agree some aspects could do with upgrading but for the price it’s by far best hotel I’ve stayed in NY
Wonderful
Perfectly located for me for work. Clean and comfortable.
Excellent Hotel
The staff are super friendly, the location is perfect. I use to live is NYC and I think this area is the best for a tourist. Not crazy like Midtown and lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. Also, its quiet at nighttime or as quiet as you can expect for NYC.
What could be improved: There wasn't much I didn't like to be honest. I would have loved coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel offers complimentary coffee but it's not great.
Relaxing and fun
Location. Cool style. Courteous helpful staff
What could be improved: That there was no rooftop bar as advertised by booking.com
