First Impressions
Walking into Iroquois New York Times Square, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical Times Square tourist trap. The lobby has this intimate, almost residential feel that’s honestly refreshing after dealing with the chaos outside. I mean, you’re literally steps from all the Broadway madness, but once those doors close behind you, it’s like entering a completely different world. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day — something that genuinely surprised me in a city this size.
Location Magic
Here’s what I love about West 44th Street — you’re close enough to hear the Times Square energy, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. The five-star positioning puts you within a two-minute walk of multiple subway lines, which honestly makes getting anywhere in New York so much easier. Bryant Park is just around the corner (perfect for morning coffee), and you know what? The whole Theater District is basically your backyard. I’ve stayed at places that claim to be “near everything,” but this one actually delivers on that promise.
The Room Experience
The room sizes here are what you’d call generous by Manhattan standards — and trust me, that matters more than you think. The beds are legitimately comfortable (not just hotel marketing speak), with linens that feel expensive without being fussy. What really got me was the attention to detail — proper blackout curtains that actually work, outlets where you need them, and bathroom amenities that don’t feel like an afterthought. The windows offer either city views or glimpses of the quieter side streets, depending on your room assignment.
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast situation is solid — they do both Continental and American options, which gives you flexibility depending on whether you’re rushing to a morning meeting or taking your time. The restaurant downstairs has this cozy, neighborhood feel that locals actually frequent, which is always a good sign. I appreciated having a proper fitness center too, because honestly, after all those New York meals, you’ll want it. The concierge team knows their stuff — they can get you reservations at places that are supposedly “booked solid.”
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is how it balances luxury with livability. You get the service and amenities you’d expect from a high-end Manhattan hotel, but without the stuffiness that can make you feel like you’re walking on eggshells. Couples especially seem to gravitate toward this spot — probably because it offers that perfect mix of romance and accessibility to everything the city has to offer. The location score speaks for itself, but it’s really the combination of being in the heart of everything while still feeling like a retreat that makes it work so well.

What could be improved: The breakfast!
Outstanding. This is my hotel of choice in NYC.. Will stay again.
Breakfast provided. Just enough food. Very pleased there were hot options. Breakfast space got a little cramped during 9am rush, but it worked.
I would stay here again!
Excellent location, very clean, very comfortable, and an extremely professional staff.
What could be improved: NA
Lovely time - enjoyed the 8 days there - would definitely go back.
The hotel location near Times Square was excellent. Staff were always helpful.
What could be improved: Breakfast was a bit limited in choice, cereal run out on 2 mornings. The choice of tea bags was not to my liking - would hav preferred tea bags which were a bit less exotic.
Lovely stay.
Great location, very clean, helpful staff.
What could be improved: Breakfast arrangement bit confusing.
Relaxing and quiet hotel in a busy part of New York
The hotel was in a perfect location for us, being less than 2 blocks from Times Square and only short walks (short for New York at least) to the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Centre and Penn Station. Despite it being in a busy part of New York, it was such a quiet hotel which I personally liked. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to New York again
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike about the property
Very Good
The staff on the desk were friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Great central location, too.
What could be improved: A staff member decided to check the television volume setting and was persistent about coming in shortly before we were due to check out. It was inconvenient as we were getting ready for the day with showers etc.
Really handy for NYC
Great location and superb customer service
What could be improved: Nothing
Best experience on a small but fabulous hotel
Clean, organized and on the best location. The hotel has a glamour similar to hotel boutiques. We loved it. The bathroom is glamorous and super clean.
Very comfortable stay in Midtown NYC
Comfortable classic high end look and feel. Rooms are quiet, comfortable bed. Great location for all the attractions. Cute little speakeasy bar as well as lobby bar.
What could be improved: No coffee in rooms.
