Hyatt Centric Wall Street New York
So I'll be honest, when I first walked into Hyatt Centric Wall Street New York, I wasn't expecting much from another business hotel in the Financial District.
So I’ll be honest, when I first walked into Hyatt Centric Wall Street New York, I wasn’t expecting much from another business hotel in the Financial District. But you know what? This place actually surprised me. The building itself has this cool industrial-meets-modern vibe – they’ve done something really smart with the old architecture down there, keeping that authentic Wall Street feel without making it feel like you’re sleeping in a bank vault.
The location is what really got me though. I mean, you’re literally on Wall Street – like, the actual street where all the financial drama happens. During weekdays, it’s absolutely buzzing with suited-up Wall Street types grabbing coffee at 6 AM, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: weekends in this neighborhood are surprisingly quiet. It’s almost eerie how peaceful it gets, which honestly made my Saturday morning way more relaxing than I thought it would be. You can walk to Stone Street in about three minutes (great for dinner, by the way), and the South Street Seaport is right there when you want to escape the concrete jungle for a bit.
What I really appreciated about this four-star spot is that they seem to get that business travelers aren’t the only ones staying here anymore. The rooms have these huge windows – and I lucked out with a partial harbor view that I definitely didn’t pay for. The beds are solid, though I wish they’d gone a bit softer on the pillows. The lobby area actually feels like somewhere you’d want to hang out, not just rush through, and their fitness center is better equipped than most hotels in New York bother with.
Parking is… well, it’s Manhattan, so don’t expect miracles, but there’s a garage nearby if you’re driving (though honestly, why would you?). The subway situation is fantastic – you’ve got the R and W trains at Whitehall-South Ferry literally around the corner, and you can walk to like five different stations in under ten minutes depending on where you’re headed. I actually found myself walking to Brooklyn Bridge just because I could, something I never would have done from a Midtown hotel. The staff was genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions – they gave me actual restaurant recommendations that weren’t tourist traps, which you know is rare. It’s not the flashiest place you’ll ever stay, but there’s something refreshing about a hotel that just does everything well without trying to be something it’s not.

Big rooms, nice staff, have breakfast somewhere else
Well kept, room is bigger than most in NY, clean, good bed and shower.
What could be improved: Breakfast is disappointing to say the least. Elevators were a little banged up, one of them felt like a bungee jump.
Very Good
Wonderful staff, especially Laszlo at the front desk. Great service, flexibility
Very comfortable
Exellent customer service
What could be improved: Room size
Great stay and location
The location and the modern equipment in the room
What could be improved: just a better view
Wonderful
The shower fabulous. Also next to the location where John wick went to the continental. If you know you know
Wonderful
Center spot for most sights and close to WTC WALL STREET AND BATTERY PARK AND METROS
Overall worth staying
Good property and at a prime locations for all sightseeing.
Great location, nice room
Clean, location and value
What could be improved: No coffee machine and not enough hooks in the bathroom to have your towels. Bathrobes and slips should be given
Very well located Hotel....overall a great stay!
The breakfast was wonderful! A wide array of fresh and prepared items were available self - serve. Coffee and teas were served by a very pleasant and attentive staff.
After our outing in downtown NYC, we returned to get our left bags and the front desk attendant offered us some cool fresh water!
What could be improved: There was an advertised " Happy Hour ". But when we asked about it upon checking in, we were told it wasn't offered, and that we were welcome to go to the bar for regular drinks service.
Also, for some reason, only the service elevator was working & there didn't seem to be any notice about the regular elevators being broken.
Great location, nice hotel, questionable design choices
I liked the location. It’s really easy to get around the city from the Financial District by the subways. It was a nice hotel. Clean, comfortable beds.
What could be improved: I didn’t like that the bathroom door didn’t latch closed, and it was made of glass. I could see my partner through it while he was using the toilet! And I could hear him too, if you know what I mean 😂.
Also the AC was not as powerful as I hoped and expected from a $300+ per night hotel room. It’s only April but the room felt muggy even after having the AC set to 60° for hours.
