I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn New York City – Wall Street by IHG a handful of times over the years, and honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you. The location on Nassau Street puts you right in the thick of the Financial District – I mean, you’re literally surrounded by history here. Stone Street with its cobblestones and outdoor dining is just around the corner, and you can walk to the 9/11 Memorial in about five minutes. The subway access is actually fantastic too; you’ve got multiple lines within a couple blocks, which makes getting uptown surprisingly easy.
What I really appreciate about this three-star property is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. The rooms are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but the beds are comfortable and the air conditioning works well (crucial during those brutal New York summers). The staff at the front desk has always been helpful when I’ve had questions about getting around, and they seem to actually know the neighborhood instead of just reading from a script. One thing that surprised me the first time I stayed here was how quiet it gets at night. You’d think being in the Financial District would mean constant noise, but after business hours, this area really settles down. Weekends are especially peaceful since most of the office buildings empty out.
The breakfast situation is pretty standard Holiday Inn fare – nothing to write home about, but it’ll get you going in the morning. What I usually do is grab coffee from the lobby and then head over to Stone Street or down to the South Street Seaport area where there are way better food options. Actually, that’s part of what makes this location work so well – you’re close enough to Brooklyn Bridge, the Staten Island Ferry, and all the downtown attractions that you can easily walk to breakfast spots with character. The hotel itself feels a bit corporate, which is expected, but the elevators are reliable and the WiFi has never given me trouble. If you’re visiting during the week, you’ll notice the lobby gets busy with business travelers, but it’s not overwhelming. Weekend crowds are much lighter, and you’ll find better rates too. For the price point and location, it’s a solid choice if you want to be in lower Manhattan without paying Midtown hotel prices.

Great hotel and base to use staying in New York!
Great location, friendly staff and good value!
What could be improved: I felt the rooms were a little bit tired for a holiday inn and could have done with a bit of touching up.
tiny entrance check in but great room and location
looks like a tiny house but the room are surprisingly large and comfortable
What could be improved: well during the night you may have some street noise or crazy people yelling but that’s NYC.
Good
The location was great and we had many options to eat and to move around the city, would definitely come back
What could be improved: The staff wasn’t always nice but ok, overall I think it was good
Good
It’s great place all clean and good location
What could be improved: One of the employees was not so friendly, the air conditioning was not working properly, I called reception and they did not come to the room to check
My stay was good no complaints at all. My room was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly an
I like that my room was nice and clean me and my partner was very comfortable and warm. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. The fact that it's in Time Square made the experience even better. I would definitely book a room at this hotel again soon and I highly recommend it to my friends and family.
What could be improved: I asked for a one bed and they gave me two beds but that wasn't much of a big deal.
Nice location but no breakfast
Cecelia was very helpful. The location was nice as well. I requested a refrigerator for my medication storage and it was in my room when we arrived. Thank you for doing that. When’s we needing anything the staff was very helpful and nice.
What could be improved: When I searched for hotel, I searched for hotels that served breakfast and it doesn’t. Also there is not a restaurant or microwave for customers anywhere. When I asked the guy at the front desk he just said no microwaves. The evening snacks were ok but the morning snacks weren’t good. It was like searching for scraps.
Nice! Great for a city sightseeing trip
The entire team was absolutely amazing! Great staff! Nice complimentary snacks & breakfast
Clean, good location, pleasant helpful staff 👍🏻
Clean with helpful and pleasant staff
What could be improved: Not great breakfast facilities
Pleasant
Location, Staff & Bed
What could be improved: Local TV stations weren't working. Breakfast wasn't available 1 morning.
Great location poor value for money but that’s New York !
Absolutely loved the location was so close to subways everywhere and loads of great food choices around! It was far enough out of the centre that you could feel safe and relaxed and not too far it’s a problem! The photos are a great example of the rooms and location but imagine it smaller as it is!
What could be improved: The lobby was incredibly tight and small as we are currently travelling it was difficult to get our suitcases and bags to the lift. The luggage hold area was some sort of closed restaurant adjacent to the hotel and just gave a grimey feel to the place. The bathrooms for the lobby were two flights of stairs down with no lift to it. We got “upgraded” to the 20th floor…. I would’ve hated to see the size of our original room, it was absolutely tiny for the price we paid for 4 nights! It was extremely loud at night so if you’re a light sleeper bring ear plugs and an eye mask very bright in the room at night. Also covered in scaffolding but that’s just the times we’re in!
