Citadines Connect Fifth Avenue New York
Look, I'll be honest – when I first walked into Citadines Connect Fifth Avenue New York, I wasn't expecting much from a three-star place smack in the middle of Times Square chaos.
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Citadines Connect Fifth Avenue New York, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place smack in the middle of Times Square chaos. But you know what? This aparthotel actually surprised me in the best way possible.
The location on West 45th is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of everything without paying those insane Midtown hotel rates. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Times Square (which sounds terrible, but hear me out), and honestly, being able to duck back to your room when the tourist crowds get overwhelming is kind of genius. Plus, you’ve got the B, D, F, and M trains right at 47th-50th Streets – I used that constantly to zip down to SoHo or up to Central Park without dealing with taxis. The building itself sits between these classic New York delis and souvenir shops, so it feels authentically chaotic in that distinctly Manhattan way.
What really won me over was the apartment-style setup – and I’m someone who usually rolls their eyes at “extended stay” concepts. The kitchenette actually works (shocking, I know), which saved me probably $200 in overpriced restaurant breakfasts during my week there. The studios aren’t huge, but they’re smartly designed with this modern, clean aesthetic that doesn’t feel corporate or sterile. Actually, the soundproofing was way better than I expected for a place this central – sure, you’ll hear some street noise during the day, but it’s not the constant honking nightmare you’d imagine. The staff at check-in were refreshingly straightforward, no fake enthusiasm, just helpful New Yorkers who knew their stuff about the neighborhood.
Here’s the thing though – this isn’t a place where you’re going to lounge around the lobby or use fancy amenities. There’s a small fitness area and that’s about it, but honestly, who needs a spa when you’ve got all of Manhattan outside your door? The real value here is having a comfortable, functional base where you can crash between exploring, maybe cook a quick meal, and actually get some decent sleep. I stayed during a particularly busy September week, and while the elevators got crowded around checkout time, it never felt chaotic or poorly managed. If you’re the type who wants room service and turndown chocolates, look elsewhere – but if you want a solid, no-nonsense place to stay that won’t destroy your budget and puts you right in the heart of everything, this place totally delivers. Just book early because word’s getting out about spots like this.

Guest Reviews
Would certainly recommend a stay at this hotel.
The breakfast required some daily fruit.
What could be improved: Storage space in the bedroom for 4 people needs to be better.
Wonderful
Location is excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: The "breakfast on the go" needs some review by the hotel. We had put in our order when we arrived, but it didn't show up the next day, then we had to redo it (cumbersome..). A better solution would be to just be able to grab it downstairs in the morning, instead of preorder.
Nothing fancy but perfect for work stay in midtown NYC

Friendly and very helpful staff, well-equipped rooms, good atmosphere, and brilliant location (very close to Times Square).
What could be improved: Insufficient amount of breakfast.
Wonderful
Room small but very clean
What could be improved: The breakfast was a little disappointing: one muffin and a carton of orange juice.
We enjoyed our stay at Citadine, located at the center of Manhattan

The bed was super comfortable. Location was 10/10
What could be improved: The first day one of the two elevators was down but after that it wasn’t a problem
Grateful to the staff for making the stay clean and comfortable
Great location, nice modern room, quiet
What could be improved: Nothing
Perfect venue for a short NYC stay
Convenience of location. It was right in the heart of NYC and made it easy to visit all attractions of interest
What could be improved: Grab bag breakfast was a little misleading
