Walking into the Casablanca Hotel by Library Hotel Collection feels like stepping into a well-curated literary salon rather than your typical Midtown hotel. The lobby immediately sets the tone with its sophisticated book-themed design — think rich mahogany, vintage leather chairs, and carefully selected literary artwork that actually means something. You know what struck me most? The staff genuinely seems to care about books and can recommend titles based on your interests, which is honestly refreshing in a city where most hotel employees are just going through the motions.

Location & Neighborhood

This four-star gem sits right on West 43rd Street, and I mean right in the thick of everything that matters in Manhattan. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Times Square (close enough to feel the energy, far enough to escape the chaos), and Bryant Park is just around the corner — perfect for morning coffee or an evening stroll. The proximity to Grand Central and the subway lines makes getting anywhere in the city incredibly easy. Couples especially seem to love wandering this area together, and honestly, I get it — there’s something romantic about having Broadway theaters, cozy wine bars, and the New York Public Library all within a few blocks.

The Room Experience

The rooms continue the literary theme without being gimmicky about it. Each floor focuses on a different category of literature, and your room comes with a curated selection of books that you can actually take home — a nice touch that shows they’re serious about the concept. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this, and I slept really well), and the rooms manage to feel spacious despite being in Midtown Manhattan. The hotel’s restaurant gets high marks too, and while I didn’t eat dinner there during my stay, the lunch I had was genuinely impressive.
