First Impressions
Walking into 33 Hotel, New York City, Seaport feels like discovering a well-kept secret in one of Manhattan’s most historic neighborhoods. This five-star boutique property sits right on Peck Slip, and honestly, the location alone made me do a double-take — you’re literally steps from the East River with these incredible views that most people don’t even know exist. The lobby has this understated luxury vibe that doesn’t scream “look at me” but quietly whispers sophistication. Every corner of the entrance area reflects meticulous attention to design and guest comfort.
The Seaport Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in the Seaport District — you get all the energy of New York without feeling completely overwhelmed by tourists. The South Street Seaport is right there, which means you can grab coffee at some really solid local spots before the crowds hit. Stone Street’s cobblestones are a two-minute walk, and trust me, having dinner there feels like stepping back in time. The subway connections are actually pretty great too — you can hop on the 4, 5, or 6 at Fulton Street and be in Midtown in about fifteen minutes. The neighborhood truly offers the perfect balance of accessibility and charm.
Luxury in the Details
The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the Brooklyn Bridge perfectly — and I mean, you wake up to that view every morning. The design feels modern but warm, with these rich textures and custom furnishings that clearly cost more than my monthly rent. What really impressed me was the attention to detail: the lighting actually makes sense (you know how hotel lighting can be weird), and the bathroom marble feels substantial, not like those thin slabs you see everywhere else. The overall aesthetic creates an inviting sanctuary for relaxation.
Dining and Amenities
The hotel’s restaurant focuses on locally-sourced ingredients, which sounds trendy but actually delivers on flavor. I had this incredible seafood dish that honestly made perfect sense given you’re right by the water. The spa is smaller than what you’d find at those massive Midtown hotels, but sometimes intimate is better — you’re not fighting for appointments or dealing with crowds. There’s also parking available, which in this part of Manhattan is basically like finding gold. These amenities combine to create a truly comprehensive luxury experience.
Why Guests Love It
Look, couples really seem to gravitate toward this place, and I get why — there’s something romantic about being tucked away in this historic corner of the city while still having easy access to everything. The staff knows your name by day two, the neighborhood has character that you won’t find in Times Square, and you’re close enough to walk to the Financial District for business or Brooklyn Bridge for those Instagram shots everyone wants. It’s luxury without the stuffiness, and in a city where hotels can feel impersonal, that actually means something. The 33 Hotel represents a refreshing approach to five-star hospitality in Manhattan.

Fabulous Hotel!!
When we arrived, everyone was so friendly. If anything was needed, we called and it arrived at our door within 3-5 minutes. Service at the Urban Cove Society and Kitchen was fantastic also. All in all, it was a perfect 30th anniversary.
Exceptional
We absolutely loved our stay here for our NYC wedding! The location was spot on - really close to City Hall/clerk’s office, plus we had great views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The area felt quieter than other parts of Manhattan, so we actually got a good night’s sleep (helped by the super comfy bed).
The staff were exceptional We felt at home the moment we arrived. The rooms are huge for NYC, with lots of light and space, and the facilities were brilliant (fridge, bathroom, mirrors, everything you need). The neighbourhood also has a great vibe, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and food nearby.
Overall, just a fantastic stay we couldn’t have asked for more and would definitely recommend!

Nice location friendly staff but just missing that next level.
Location, staff, small and boutique feeling. Food and bar.
What could be improved: Beds were a little too soft for my liking and there was not no pillow menu. There was a foam pillow but not real foam (tempur style). Would be a good idea to have some choices for visitors. Shower head was broken, they tried to get a new one but did not happen in our 5 night stay, a room move would have solved the issue but was not offered.
Great experience
Great location
What could be improved: Rooms were smaller than expected
Spectacular
The location is very exciting with lots of activities the hotel is very clean and welcoming. The staff are pleasant and friendly.
What could be improved: I booked the hotel with breakfast included, but there was a bit of confusion at the restaurant with breakfast, which was embarrassing. The hotel needs to provide clarification with guests when breakfast is booked into your stay. At one point, we were told we could only have breakfast for one morning mind you we booked for 3 nights and also only one entrée per person anything additional you will be charged at check out.The hotel manager and the restaurant manager worked through our issues seamlessly two beautiful human beings. Another hidden fee, at check out, the lady at the front desk charges me for gratuity plus tax. Which are hidden charges at check out? Customers aren't told about this. So, if you tip your waitress and hotel maids at the time of service that we did, the hotel will double charge for gratuity and add tax to the charge. I've never heard of this and have to do some research on this methodology. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay in downtown NYC

Great for Seaport Area
The location AMAZING for the seaport area. Very different experience to the midtown Times Sq experience.
The staff at this hotel were all amazing, Especially Chris who was so helpful. Reception staff really friendly and helpful and helped with a luggage delay problem we had, which we were so grateful for. The softest pillows, i just didn't want to get out of bed.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike...
