Warwick New York
I'll be honest β when I first walked into Warwick New York, I wasn't expecting much from another Midtown hotel.
I’ll be honest β when I first walked into Warwick New York, I wasn’t expecting much from another Midtown hotel. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked right on 54th Street, and I mean you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Museum of Modern Art (which, let’s face it, is pretty fantastic when you want to duck in and see some Picassos without the tourist bus crowds). The lobby has this old-school elegance that doesn’t feel stuffy β think classic New York glamour but with comfortable furniture you’d actually want to sit in.
What really got me was how quiet my room was, considering you’re smack in the middle of Manhattan madness. I stayed on the eighth floor facing the street, and honestly, I was bracing myself for sirens all night, but the windows do their job surprisingly well. The rooms have this timeless feel β not trendy Instagram-bait, but genuinely comfortable with details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The bathrooms are spacious (a miracle in this city), and I loved that the shower had proper water pressure. You know what I mean β none of that sad trickle you sometimes get in older hotels. The four-star rating feels right on the money β it’s polished without being pretentious.
The staff here genuinely seems to know the neighborhood, which matters more than you’d think. When I asked about decent coffee that wasn’t Starbucks, the concierge pointed me to this little place on 53rd that I never would have found otherwise. And the location β well, you’re close enough to Times Square if that’s your thing, but far enough away that you won’t get swept up in the chaos unless you want to be. Central Park is an easy walk north, and the subway access is solid with multiple lines nearby. I actually ended up walking to most places because everything felt manageable from here. The hotel fills up during fashion week and around Christmas (fair warning β book early then), but during my stay in October, it had this nice energy without feeling overcrowded. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere with character, not just crashing in a generic room between Broadway shows.
Hotels near me in New York offer convenient access to iconic landmarks, where guests can easily walk to Empire State Building, Central Park, and world-renowned restaurants in diverse neighborhoods.

Room was exceptionally equipped and of a good size. Clean, apart from a nasty stain on the carpet (722) Comfortable beds.
A very attractive lobby. Didn't get a chance to sample breakfast or the bar. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great location, very close to all the attractions.
Would stay again!π
What could be improved: The lifts! 3 lifts and only 2 working. Not much of a problem until checking out with bags. We waited literally 20 minutes.

Great ambiance, friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms
What could be improved: Loved everything
Ideal location, close to many sights and attractions, so close to the park, and there were lots of great dining options
The ambiance, the history, the details, the artwork, the staff, and the location
What could be improved: The furnishing felt dated and the pillows were a bit hard
I'd likely stay here again
Well sized room. Exceptionally clean room.
What could be improved: Elevators were a real drag and cooling not good enough. Breakfast was simply too pricey
