I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Sixty LES, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this four-star spot tucked into Allen Street. The Lower East Side has this weird mix of old-school tenements and shiny new everything, and this hotel sort of captures that tension perfectly. The lobby hits you with this moody, almost theatrical vibe – lots of dark wood and dramatic lighting that feels like someone actually thought about the design instead of just ordering everything from a hotel catalog.
What really struck me about staying here was how it manages to feel both intimate and polished at the same time. The rooms aren’t huge (this is New York, after all), but they’re smartly laid out with these floor-to-ceiling windows that make everything feel more open than it actually is. I mean, you’re literally steps from some of the city’s best food – Katz’s Deli is practically around the corner, and you’ve got all these incredible little spots on Orchard and Ludlow that most tourists never find. The hotel staff actually knows the neighborhood too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is.
You know what I appreciated most? The place doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not. The rooftop situation is solid without being over-the-top Instagram bait, and honestly, the view gives you this great perspective on how the neighborhood flows from the historic stuff down toward the financial district. Parking is going to be a nightmare (welcome to Manhattan), but the subway connections are actually pretty decent from here – you’re close enough to walk to SoHo when you want that scene, but far enough from Times Square chaos that you can breathe. The walls are thick enough that street noise isn’t really an issue, though if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe ask for a room facing away from Allen Street on weekend nights. The whole area comes alive after dark, which is either perfect or terrible depending on what you’re after. I’d definitely come back – it’s got that rare thing where it feels like a real New York experience without making you suffer for it.

Style, comfort, service and location!
Excellent location and very warm and welcoming staff (thanks for the birthday love, Jimmy). Lobby is sleek and fresh fruit infused water quenched our thirst while we waited. Room was small but lovely and efficiently designed. The lit up art installation by our headboard was deteimental to our sleep though (bring an eye mask). The balcony is shared but a nice surprise. The pool and area was very chill and drinks were incredible (I forget the name of the bartender who remained open after she was supposed to head out lol g enough to make us 2 incredible quick rounds). The club is great (but the bathroom is hard to find). We had an awesome visit.
What could be improved: Pool wasn't heated. Lit up headboard art installation was too bright for a post-party sleep. We never got our robes that were promised in the ad.
A comfortable stay in a very cool part of NYC with very convenient location
The shower was excellent and the room was clean, The staff was helpful in locating a cot for us, as we had requested ahead of our stay.
What could be improved: There was no outlet on the counter where we would have made coffee in the mornings so we had to plug it it on the bathroom sink. Also we had expected at least some outlets to have USB ports, none of which did. Finally, the biggest problem was the unexpected guest experience fee of $45.95 per night, which added a lot to the cost of our stay and would have been a big deterrent from booking there had we known about it when we booked.
Great stay overall
Great location, the subway was across the street where we could get the F train, and we really liked the area. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. Room was cleaned every day and the free WiFi was good.
What could be improved: The sauna was out of action. We had to pay a $500 deposit when we checked in which was never mentioned on Booking.com at the time of booking.

The property was great. The room was so spacious especially for an NYC hotel. The shower was amazing. We liked the views as well and also the pool. Staff was great.
What could be improved: The sauna was under maintenance and the gym area was not stocked with proper cleaning supplies

Loved the location of the Lower East Village and the pool area made for awesome cool off at the end of each day!
