Walking into MADE Hotel on West 29th Street, you immediately get that this isn’t your typical four-star Manhattan property. The lobby has this industrial-chic vibe that actually works — exposed brick, sleek furniture, and just enough edge to feel current without trying too hard. I mean, you’re right in the heart of NoMad, which honestly might be one of the best neighborhoods to stay in if you want to feel like you’re living in New York rather than just visiting it.

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re walking distance from Madison Square Garden, the Empire State Building, and some seriously good food spots that locals actually frequent. The couples rating this place 9.4 for location aren’t wrong. You can stroll to the High Line in about fifteen minutes, hit up the incredible food halls at Chelsea Market, or just wander the tree-lined streets around here where you’ll find those perfect little cafes that make you want to linger over coffee for hours. There’s also parking available, which — let’s be honest — is basically a miracle in this part of Manhattan.

The Room Experience

The room itself surprised me in the best way. Sure, it’s compact (this is New York, after all), but everything feels intentional. The beds really are as comfortable as everyone says — I actually slept better here than I do at home sometimes. The whole ground floor has this energy that spills over from the street, making it feel connected to the neighborhood rather than isolated from it.
