First Impressions
Walking into the Loews Regency New York Hotel on Park Avenue, you immediately understand why this place has such a devoted following. The lobby has this understated elegance — not flashy or trying too hard, just genuinely sophisticated. I mean, when you’re sitting right in the heart of the Upper East Side, you don’t need to shout about it. The five-star service starts the moment you step through those doors, with staff who actually seem to remember your name after the first interaction.
Prime Upper East Side Location
Honestly, the location is pretty much perfect if you want to experience New York like a local rather than a tourist. You’re literally steps from Central Park — I’m talking a two-minute walk to the park entrance at 65th Street. The neighborhood has this residential feel that’s rare in Manhattan hotels, but you’re still close enough to Midtown that nothing feels out of reach. What I really appreciate is how couples seem to gravitate here — there’s something about the tree-lined streets and the proximity to Museum Mile that makes it feel romantic without being overly touristy.
Luxury Accommodations
The room here strikes that perfect balance between classic New York elegance and modern comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, and if you’re lucky enough to get a park view, well — you’ll spend way too much time just staring out at the greenery. The marble bathrooms feel genuinely luxurious, not just expensive for the sake of it. You know what really impressed me? The attention to detail in the furnishings — everything feels curated rather than just purchased from a hotel supply catalog.
Dining and Amenities
The Regency Bar & Grill has become something of an institution, and for good reason. It’s where you’ll find both hotel guests and Upper East Side locals mixing over cocktails — always a good sign. The restaurant serves solid American cuisine, though honestly, with this location you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to dining options in the neighborhood. The fitness center is well-equipped (important when you’re indulging in all that New York food), and the business facilities are actually useful if you need to get work done between exploring the city.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something about this hotel that keeps people coming back — I think it’s the way it manages to feel both luxurious and livable. You’re not staying in a museum piece or a corporate box; you’re experiencing New York from one of its most coveted addresses. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay memorable, and the location gives you access to both the cultural richness of Museum Mile and the energy of Midtown. It’s particularly popular with couples, and I can see why — there’s an intimacy to the Upper East Side that you just don’t get in Times Square or even SoHo. When you factor in the proximity to Central Park and the neighborhood’s authentic New York character, it becomes clear why guests rate this place so highly for romantic getaways.

Wish rates were lower, but my go-to place to stay in NY.
Rooms are super comfy, great breakfast and great gym. Service is impeccable.
What could be improved: The room didn’t smell great, but did look clean. Probably the AC and NY in the summer… Bathtub was a little rundown.
Overall great, but could do better.
Great location. Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff.
What could be improved: My room had a musty odor. The toilet paper was the very cheap kind, super thin. I expect more from Lowes/price.
I’ve been before and it’s always good
Great safe location
Nice location but will ask for a room with updated bath if I stay again.
Perfect location and the bed was fairly comfy.
What could be improved: The bathroom was tiny and very outdated and could have been cleaner.
Very Good
The whole experience was amazing. What stood out for me and the family was the door men - who were very helpful and super friendly, the breakfast service team, the suite was was well appointed and had everything we needed for a traveling family of 5. I would definitely stay here when in NY.
What could be improved: We had to spend on the pricey bottled water (FIJI) placed in the room, as the alternative was not readily available on complimentary until we requested for it from the housekeeping team. But after that we got plenty and all was well.
Very good location.
Location
What could be improved: No ability to make coffee in a glass mug in my room . I do not want to get dressed and take an elevator to get my morning coffee in a paper cup.
Loew's fulfilled most of my needs and desires
The size of my room was lovely.
What could be improved: Needed a separate walk-in shower and a soaking tub that stood alone
Good
the room
What could be improved: our room wasn't available until 4:30

The room size is great! The bathtub needs some work. The carpet is starting to buckle in the room / the staff are very kind and helpful!
What could be improved: Bathtub metal stopper is rusted
Very well licated and comfortable hotel
Location. Spacious room. Nice bathroom.
What could be improved: Didn’t replenish the bottles of water
