First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel 32 32 on East 32nd Street, you immediately get why couples are giving this place such high marks for location. I mean, the address is pretty memorable — 32 East 32nd Street — and honestly, that’s just the beginning of what makes this spot work so well. This four-star property sits right in the sweet spot of New York, where you’re close enough to everything that matters but not drowning in the chaos of Times Square tourists. The hotel’s strategic positioning makes it an ideal base for exploring the city’s most iconic attractions.
Location & Neighborhood
The location score of 9.2 isn’t just marketing fluff — it’s actually earned. You’re walking distance from the Empire State Building (which you can see from some rooms), Madison Square Garden, and Herald Square, but the street itself has this quieter, more residential feel that’s hard to find in Midtown. The subway access is solid too, with multiple lines within a few blocks, so getting around the city is pretty straightforward. What I really appreciate is that you can grab decent coffee and food nearby without having to venture into the tourist traps. The neighborhood offers an excellent balance of accessibility and tranquility.
The Room Experience
The rooms here are what you’d expect from a well-managed four-star in Manhattan — not huge, but thoughtfully designed to make the most of the space. Each room feels clean and updated, with comfortable beds and decent lighting for actually reading or working. The bathrooms are compact but functional, and honestly, the water pressure is better than what you’ll find at some pricier places in the city. The windows do a decent job of keeping street noise to a minimum, which is no small feat in New York. Guests consistently praise the attention to detail in every corner of the accommodations.
Practical Considerations
Look, this isn’t a resort with a massive spa or elaborate amenities, but it covers the basics really well. The staff is helpful without being overly formal, and they seem to know the neighborhood well enough to give you solid recommendations. The lobby is small but welcoming, and there’s usually someone at the front desk who can help with restaurant reservations or directions. Parking in this area is typical Manhattan expensive, so I’d honestly recommend skipping the car if possible. The hotel’s practical approach to service ensures guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is that sweet spot between location, comfort, and value that’s genuinely hard to find in this part of the city. Couples especially seem to love it because you can walk to dinner, catch a show, or just wander around without feeling like you’re constantly fighting crowds or spending a fortune on taxis. The 6.8 rating might seem modest, but for New York standards and this price point, it’s actually pretty solid. You’re paying for the location and reliability here, and both deliver consistently well. This hotel represents excellent value for discerning travelers seeking authentic New York hospitality.

Guest Reviews
The staff were always helpful and friendly, ready to accommodate any needs I had. When I first got there I wanted to switch to a street view room and within a couple of days I got an upgrade to a larger street view room. I was also helped with my bags both upon arrival and departure. The hotel is also extremely close to Koreatown which was great for getting food or boba throughout the day. It’s close to a bunch of good restaurants in general, as well as places with good breakfast options, and a laundromat which was helpful for me.
I really the location. And they had a kitchen (later I couldn’t use the kitchen but oh well)
location :)
Breakfast, where was breakfast?? No amenities at hotel, breakfast, coffee, lounge area would have been nice. Room was good!
Convenient to major parts of Manhattan.
Nice
The room had adequate facilites.
The location was good, the bed was comfortable, room and bathroom were very clean. I had an issue with the toilet as it was leaking but I have to say as soon as I brought it to the attention of the guy on reception, he had it dealt with right away.
