Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park
You know what really struck me about Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park?
You know what really struck me about Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park? It’s one of those places where the lobby actually feels calm despite being right in the thick of everything on Broadway. I mean, you step off that absolutely chaotic stretch of street – we’re talking Times Square energy here – and suddenly there’s this surprisingly zen moment when you walk through those doors.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the action but not completely overwhelmed by it. You’re literally a few blocks from Central Park (I could see the trees from my room on the higher floors), and Columbus Circle is basically right there, which makes getting around the city incredibly easy. The subway access is solid too – I used the 57th Street station constantly, and it’s maybe a three-minute walk. What I really appreciated, though, was that even with all the Broadway theaters and tourist stuff happening around you, the actual block the hotel sits on doesn’t feel like a complete zoo. There’s something about being just slightly off the main Times Square drag that makes a huge difference for your sanity.
The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a four-star Marriott property – clean, modern, and honestly pretty spacious for New York standards. I’ve stayed in some shoebox-sized places in Manhattan, so having actual room to open your suitcase without doing yoga moves around the bed was refreshing. The beds are comfortable (I’m picky about this), and they’ve got those blackout curtains that actually work, which is crucial when you’re dealing with all the neon and street lights outside. One thing that surprised me – the soundproofing is better than I expected. Sure, you’ll hear some city noise because, well, it’s New York, but it wasn’t the constant honking and sirens I was bracing for. The fitness center is decent if you need to burn off all that pizza and bagel consumption, and there’s a Starbucks right in the lobby, which honestly saved me multiple times when I needed caffeine before facing the city. I will say the parking situation is typical Manhattan expensive, so if you’re driving… maybe reconsider that plan. But really, you don’t need a car here anyway – everything you want to see is walkable or a quick subway ride away.
New York’s apartments offer urban accommodations with skyline views, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this culturally rich American metropolis.

Very Good
This property is clean, well located and easy to access. It is also quite quiet in light of the location. We also found the staff very friendly, approachable and helpful. Will be back!
What could be improved: The elevators could use some improvements in light of their speed. Not a reason not to stay here however!
Great hotel, excellent location
Beds are nice and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facility in the room. Lovely hot showers. Fridge and safe in the room. Staff were great.
What could be improved: The shower leaked so that every time someone has a shower, the bathroom floor got really wet and we had to use extra towels every day to try and keep the floor dry. They could make it easier to make tea by providing a kettle and tea bags instead of tea "pods" for the coffee machine.
Wonderful
The location.
What could be improved: Nothing
Nice stay
Poor breakfast and wuite rxpensive. Rest is perfect. I recomand higher floors for view
What could be improved: Breakfast
Great location
Great location for manhattan. On Broadway so easy to walk to some of the places or get the tube. Room was as you would expect for a Marriott, lovely large bed and reasonable sized room
Very suggested
Position, service, staff, breakfast. All was perfect.
What could be improved: Slow elevator
Great stay at New York Midtown
Great location, nice room … good facilities … really enjoyed the stay
I feel like I discovered my new go-to hotel for future visits to NYC.
The location is excellent with many destinations within walking and subway distances. Room was a good size and very clean. All of the staff were very helpful and welcoming.
What could be improved: At the health club the Peloton bikes were not usable - adjustment mechanisms were broken.
Towels and sheets were slightly scratchy to me. (I have very sensitive skin.)
Overall good value for what we paid. Great location friendly staff. Room was small but had what we needed.
Location, friendly staff, crib provided, value
What could be improved: Automated teller was annoying when trying to get to the hotel with the street being closed. Towels were small and rough
Great hotel, good value for money
Location, comfortable room, clean. Most of the staff were really nice.
Great stay!
What could be improved: Elevators are very busy, not enough light in the room, they take money for water bottles in the room which is weird for the price we paid. Other then that, all was great
