First Impressions
Walking into The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical Midtown hotel experience. The lobby feels intimate yet grand — there’s this perfect balance of old-world elegance with contemporary touches that actually works. I mean, you’re in the heart of New York‘s NoMad district, but somehow the noise and chaos of the city just melts away once you step inside. This five-star property occupies a beautifully restored Beaux-Arts building, and honestly, the attention to detail is something you notice right away.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re perfectly positioned between the energy of Midtown and the charm of the Flatiron District. Madison Square Park is literally around the corner, which gives you this unexpected green oasis in the middle of everything. The whole NoMad area has become this incredible food scene, and you’ll find yourself walking to some of the city’s best restaurants without needing a cab. Plus, couples absolutely rave about this spot (they rate it 9.9 for romantic getaways), and I can see why — there’s something special about strolling these tree-lined streets in the evening.
Luxury Accommodations
The room I stayed in was genuinely impressive — high ceilings, custom furnishings, and these massive windows that flood everything with natural light. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to create spaces that feel both luxurious and livable. The marble bathrooms are stunning, sure, but it’s the little touches that matter — like the quality of the linens and how quiet everything is despite being in such a bustling part of the city. You know what’s rare in Manhattan hotels? Actually having enough space to unpack and settle in comfortably.
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast situation here is actually fantastic — they’ve got everything from continental options to full American spreads, plus they really understand dietary restrictions with solid vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. The on-site restaurant serves elevated American cuisine that doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious. I was pleasantly surprised they offer private parking too, which honestly is like finding gold in this part of the city. The spa treatments are top-notch if you want to indulge, though I spent most of my downtime just enjoying the sophisticated common areas.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel consistently earns an 8.5 rating because it delivers on the luxury promise without feeling overwhelming or impersonal. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience — not in that rehearsed way, but like they actually want you to discover what makes this corner of New York special. Whether you’re here for business meetings in Midtown or exploring the city’s cultural offerings, you’re positioned perfectly. The combination of exceptional service, prime location, and that rare sense of tranquility in the middle of Manhattan makes this place worth the splurge.

What could be improved: First day we got there the fire Alarm system having issues . It took them couple hours to get fixed that was a scary experience .

Beautiful property. Staff is so friendly and super clean hotel.
Perfection inevery aspect. Thank you for making our honeymoon stay so very memorable.
Professionalism, spot-on service and graciousness of staff (particularly Matthew: front desk reception and Joy A: guest relations manager). My wife and I received warm greeting upon arrival (Matthew) and our upgraded room (thanks Joy) was perfectly appointed and the view: magnificent. Enjoyed Nobeluz and Zaytinya (breakfast and dinner).
What could be improved: Everything was perfect.
Wonderful stay! Highly recommended.
Wonderful hotel with excellent views of the city from the King High Floor suite. Very modern and new. Amazing service and definitely leagues ahead of the Ritz Central Park. Rooftop bar is exceptional with incredible views.
What could be improved: Room was a little small at the price

What could be improved: I think the gym is small for such a hotel with high standards and cost. There were not many machines
Exceptional

An incredible moment
Everything was perfect
At the very top end of NY hotels
Excellent bed. The Club facilities, service and food. Fantastic staff. Spacious bathroom, excellent shower, wonderful towels and robe.
What could be improved: Quite bland room with generic feel to it. Furniture and technology choices very similar to 300 usd a night hotels in the Nordics.
Exceptional
Beautiful hotel with excellent staff - check out the roof top bar!
