Well, they’re New York-sized, so don’t expect a palace, but they’re clean and the beds are actually comfortable. The windows open too, which is rarer than you’d think in Manhattan hotels. I stayed during a pretty busy week in October and never felt like I was fighting crowds just to get in and out of the lobby. The neighborhood has that perfect mix where you’ve got your Starbucks and CVS within a block, but also some real character spots that haven’t been chain-stored to death yet.
